At the NDTV World Summit 2025 in New Delhi, analyst Nick Booker described the current period as the “first Indian decade of what will prove to be the Indian century.” He emphasized that India is emerging as a global leader, shaping innovation and cultural influence rather than merely participating in global trends.
Booker contrasted Western model-driven thinking with an Indian mindset, which he termed “computational positivism” — the practice of adapting strategies based on real data and lived experience, rather than imposing rigid theoretical frameworks. He highlighted how this approach can lead to more effective problem-solving and decision-making.
He also noted that India’s rich tradition of storytelling, metaphor, and cultural insight provides a unique global contribution, helping unlock new approaches in education, business, and innovation worldwide.
