Washington, D.C., November 25: India’s Ambassador to the United States, Vinay Mohan Kwatra, met Congressman Jay Obernolte to discuss expanding India–US collaboration in emerging and advanced technology sectors, including science, artificial intelligence, research, and innovation.
Ambassador Kwatra shared details of the meeting on X, noting:

Discussions on AI-Driven Knowledge Preservation
Ambassador Kwatra also held an insightful discussion with Francis Pedraza, founder of Invisible Technologies, focusing on the rapid evolution of innovation and its societal impact. Pedraza’s Eternity Civilization Foundation is working on an ambitious initiative to use AI-powered tools to translate ancient manuscripts from the historic Nalanda Library.

- Collaboration in oil and gas
He shared:

Last week, India’s Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal affirmed that there is “no pause or hiatus” in the India–US partnership, calling it a strategically vital relationship for both nations. He also indicated that “good news” on the Bilateral Trade Agreement (BTA) may be forthcoming once both sides strike the “right balance.”
