British Prime Minister Keir Starmer will undertake his first official visit to India on October 8–9, 2025, following an invitation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, according to India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

During his visit, Starmer and Modi are scheduled to meet in Mumbai on October 9 to review progress under the India-UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, aligned with the Vision 2035 roadmap. The discussions will center around trade, investment, innovation, defense, energy, education, climate cooperation, and people-to-people connections.
A key topic on the agenda will be the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), which is expected to serve as a cornerstone for deepening economic collaboration.
