The total number of new citizens across OECD nations in 2023 reached approximately 2.8 million, a slight rise from the previous year. Following India, the Philippines and China ranked second and third respectively, with 1.32 lakh and 92,400 nationals gaining citizenship. Countries like Canada, the US, and Australia emerged as the top destinations for Indian migrants, with a significant proportion of these naturalizations occurring in these countries, where many seek long-term settlement and enhanced social security.
