Telugu fantasy-adventure film Mirai, starring Teja Sajja and Manchu Manoj, has taken the box office by storm. Within just five days of its release worldwide, the film has grossed over ₹100 crore. This blockbuster success has earned Teja Sajja praise, with Bollywood producer Karan Johar referring to him as the “man of the moment”.
Distributed in the Hindi belt by Dharma Productions, Mirai opened in multiple languages—Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam—on September 12. The movie is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad from People Media Factory and directed by Karthik Gattamneni. Apart from leads, the cast includes Ritika Nayak, Shriya Saran, Jagapathi Babu, and Jayaram in pivotal roles.
Johar took to Instagram to celebrate the success, sharing a selfie with Teja and praising the movie as “magnificent”. Manchu Manoj also acknowledged the ensemble and credited Teja’s dedication as central to the film’s achievements. The entry into the ₹100 crore club highlights strong overseas performance, especially in North America, and a solid hold even after initial days in India.
