Congress leader Shashi Tharoor recently expressed strong admiration for The Bads of Bollywood, the debut series from Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan. After watching the show, Tharoor described it as a “masterpiece,” flaunting both its witty writing and fearless direction. He further remarked that Shah Rukh Khan “must be so proud” of his son’s achievement.
In his note, Tharoor explained that while recuperating from a cold, he turned to the series on a recommendation—and found himself “irresistibly hooked.” He praised the show’s ability to hold a mirror up to Bollywood, satirising its clichés with humour and insider insight while still delivering dramatic flair.
Tharoor emphasised the show’s strengths: the sharpness of the narrative, the audacity of its comedic satire, and its meta-commentary on the film industry. He wrote that the seven-episode series marks “the arrival of a true storytelling powerhouse.” With his words, Tharoor underscored the significant impact of Aryan Khan’s creative debut.
