The makers of Chatha Pacha, a wrestling-themed film directed by debutant Adhvaith Nayar, have released the first teaser, spotlighting the underground wrestling scene in Kerala. The teaser opens with the familiar ring bell signaling the start or end of a wrestling match, evoking nostalgia for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) fans. The ring announcer addresses the wrestlers, acknowledging the social stigma they face and urging them to channel their frustration and humiliation into powerful punches in the ring. The teaser then showcases intense wrestling action, featuring a mix of vicious sucker punches and agile dropkicks.
Towards the end, Vishak Nair admires the athleticism, describing the moves as “mass.” Roshan Mathew reveals his identity by removing his wrestling mask, introducing his character. The film also stars notable actors such as Arjun Ashokan, Ishan Shoukath, Siddique, Lakshmi Menon, and Manoj K Jayan.
Chatha Pacha boasts a talented crew with Anend C. Chandran as the cinematographer, Kalai Kingson as the action choreographer, and Praveen Prabhakar as the editor. The screenplay is written by Sanoop Thykoodam. The original score is composed by Mujeeb Majeed, while the acclaimed Bollywood trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy make their Malayalam debut, collaborating with lyricist Vinayak Sasikumar. The film is slated for a pan-India release in January 2026, with distribution by Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films in Kerala, Dharma Productions presenting the Hindi dubbed version, and PVR Inox Pictures handling Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
