Growing violence against Christian communities across parts of Africa has raised urgent concerns from those on the ground. One individual from Niger shares how the peaceful co-existence he knew in his youth has been replaced by pervasive fear, as extremist attacks increasingly target religious minorities.
The region’s turmoil reflects deeper shadows: climate change, economic hardship, and political instability have created a vacuum in which extremist groups exploit religious and ethnic divides. Christian villages have been razed, thousands displaced, and many lives shattered.
