In a significant recognition of his contributions, Malayalam film icon Mohanlal was awarded the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Commendation Card by General Upendra Dwivedi in New Delhi. This honour acknowledges Mohanlal’s steadfast support for the Indian Armed Forces and his active involvement in promoting awareness about the Army’s role in humanitarian operations.
Dressed in his Territorial Army uniform, Mohanlal received the commendation at the Army Headquarters, surrounded by seven Army Commanders. He expressed his gratitude on social media, stating, “Receiving this recognition as an Honorary Lieutenant Colonel is a moment of immense pride and gratitude. I remain deeply thankful to General Upendra Dwivedi, the entire Indian Army, and my parent unit of the Territorial Army for this honour and their unwavering support. Jai Hind.”
